Except for the good stuff, like "Good King Wenceslas," or "Silent Night," or "Carol of the Bells." Actually, that's not true, I do like Christmas music, just not the commercialized, souless crap that they play in Sharples ALL THE TIME. So glad I don't have to listen to that anymore. Hokay, just had to get that off my chest. Whew.
I hate/love transition periods. The whole new world thing is good, I guess, but you know, routine definitely has its benefits. It's comforting. And then there's leaving behind people you don't want to leave, with no one ahead for months but family and strangers. I mean, family is good, but it's starting to feel more and more like my friends are my real family, not those people to whose lifestyles I conformed for eighteen years. I love them, yes, but I'm bigger now than the role I filled in high school, and it's starting to be a tight squeeze whenever I try to fit back in.
But yeah, I just love good-byes. It's the condensed version of everything two people feel for each other, and what better time to let them really know how much you care? Of course, the not seeing them part isn't fun, but then it's all the sweeter when you meet again.
Well, I don't miss people as a rule, but I will miss this semester a lot, and this semester was awesome simply and solely because of the people I had the priviledge to be with. Keep in touch, please, everyone! Lots of love. :)
